How to Safely Pack Stemware for Moving
Packing stemware is honestly a bit nerve-wracking if you’ve never done it before. These glasses are fragile, and one slip could ruin your favorite set. I usually start by laying out some packing paper and wrapping each glass diagonally. Tape it so it stays, but not too tightly; you don’t want to crush the stem.
Next, I line a sturdy box with some crumpled paper at the bottom. It’s a bit tedious, but it really helps protect the glasses. Nest them upside down if you can and fill in any gaps with more paper. Properly Wrap Each Stemware Glass

Handle With Care While Moving
Lift each box carefully, keeping a firm grip on the bottom. Walk slowly; don’t jerk it around. Even small bumps can damage the glasses if the boxes aren’t stable.
When placing boxes in the moving vehicle, make sure they’re upright. Add blankets or padding if needed. A bit of patience here makes sure your stemware arrives intact. In the end, the small extra effort is completely worth it.
